Project Overview
The Priority Pass (PP) program is used by millions of people around the world, giving them access to over 1200+ airport lounges. Many of these users have PP as part of of their benefits package associated with their credit card.

As part of building continuous enhancements to the app a new feature was required to allow users to scan their PP membership card into the app and for the app to then generate a digital membership card (DMC). This would enable users to have access to airport lounges directly via their app and remove the need to present a physical membership card.
The Process
The feature team consisted of a UI/UX designer (me), Product owner, Business analyst and Project manager.

I worked collaboratively with the team to understand business requirements and what the user journey could potentially look like. After brainstorming sessions, I used the gathered information to map out the full end-to-end journey and created wire frames to document the process. The wire frames detailed the 'happy path' journey but also several other user case journeys where branches and errors might appear.

Other areas of considerations included designing several new components and UI patterns to fulfill the requirements since, being a new feature, many of these did not exist.

Solutions and Designs
This app feature required several new design elements and UI components

Introduction of clearer CTAs including Primary, secondary, tertiary and inline links
Designed a clearer grid system for better layout of elements as the app did not use one
Designed new illustrations to be used across the feature. I put together a mood board of reference images and then drew new designs using Sketch and Illustrator
Crafted form elements, such as input fields and inline error messaging, to be used in app
Provided both clickable and video prototype of the journey built in Invision, which was shared across the business
All completed designs were crafted in Sketch and handed over to developers via Zeplin
Worked closely with our external development agencies and provided design and UX direction where needed

Wireframe concepts and design development

New style guide development

New illustration designs for use across the app
